Geo-Routing
Route visitors to region-specific affiliate URLs based on their location
Geo-Routing is a Premium feature that solves one of the biggest missed-revenue problems for creators with an international audience: when a UK visitor clicks your Amazon US affiliate link, they land on amazon.com without your UK affiliate tag — and if they buy, you earn nothing.
With Geo-Routing, you configure multiple destination URLs for a single short link or gear list item — one per country or region. When a visitor clicks, MakerManifest detects their country and redirects them to the most appropriate URL. A UK visitor gets your amazon.co.uk link with your UK Associates tag. A German visitor gets your amazon.de link. US visitors get your original amazon.com link as the default.
This applies to any store, not just Amazon. If you have different regional affiliate URLs for any merchant — eBay UK vs eBay US, for example — you can set up geo-routing rules for each.
The analytics dashboard's geo alerts feature works in tandem with geo-routing. When the dashboard detects clicks from countries where you don't have a regional URL configured, it surfaces a geo alert prompting you to add that storefront. This creates a feedback loop: as your international traffic grows, the dashboard tells you exactly which new regions are worth setting up.
